HRP Rabo Abdulkareem arrested

His Royal Punkness, Abubakar Rabo Abdulkareem, the erstwhile self appointed Tsar of Hausa movie industry ( ie Kannywood), may have chewed more than he can swallow judging by the way cops in Kano whisked him for questioning last week.

"Director-General of the Kano State Censorship Board, Malam Abubakar Rabo Abdulkareem, was yesterday arrested by the police over a complaint filed against him by the Kano State Filmmakers Association."

Lest we forget, Rabo Abdulkareem has so far jailed more than ten Kannywood actors and musicians for producing works of art that did not meet his moral criteria. The saga started a long time ago but I have always known that heading to the courts was the best option for these artists.
